Ving Tsun (Wing Chun)
"Eternal Spring"

A Brief History
Wing Chun is a Southern Chinese martial art developed for close-quarters combat. According to legend, it was created by a Buddhist nun named Ng Mui and passed on to a young woman named Yim Wing Chun—giving the art its name.
Designed to overcome larger, stronger opponents through structure, timing, and efficiency, Wing Chun evolved through generations of fighters and was later popularized worldwide by Ip Man and his students—including Bruce Lee.
Today, Wing Chun is practiced for its practical self-defense, sharp reflexes, and relaxed power—staying true to its roots while adapting to the needs of modern practitioners.
Wong Shun Leung Lineage
Our Wing Chun comes through the Wong Shun Leung lineage—one of the most direct, practical expressions of the art. Wong was a senior student of Ip Man, one of the most notable grandmasters of the art, known for pressure-testing techniques through full-contact challenge fights in Hong Kong.
This lineage emphasizes timing, structure, and efficient striking over rigid forms or ceremony.
At Masterflow, we carry that spirit forward—teaching Wing Chun as a functional system of close-range self-defense, built on principles that hold up under pressure.
Our school's lineage comes directly from Sigung Michael Street, and our Sifu, Stephen Joffe.

Muay Thai:"The Art of 8 Limbs"

More Than a Fight – A Spiritual Practice
Muay Thai isn’t just physical—it carries deep cultural and spiritual roots. Traditionally, fighters perform a Wai Kru ritual to show respect to their teachers and lineage, blending movement with mindfulness and gratitude.
The training itself teaches more than technique. Through discipline, breath control, and repetition, Muay Thai cultivates mental focus, inner strength, and a deep connection between body and mind.
At Masterflow, we honor these roots by teaching with respect, presence, and intention— carrying the tradition upheld by our teacher, Stephen Joffe and Kru Demian Hommel and many other training parnters and instructors along the way.
Pekiti Tirsia Kali
A time-tested Filipino blade art known for precision, flow, and real-world effectiveness.
Blades, Movement, and Mindset
Pekiti Tirsia Kali is a close-quarters Filipino martial art rooted in pre-colonial tribal combat, untouched by Spanish fencing influence. It emphasizes blades, timing, mobility, and strategic movement—making it one of the most effective weapon-based systems taught today.
Our School's Lineage comes through Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje, and carried forward by his senior student, Tuhon Tim Waid - Master Instructor and President of PTK-SMF/PTKGO and Magino’o Guro Stephen Joffe, our teacher, of Marital Works and Innerpath Qi gong.
In class, you’ll train with sticks, training knives, and empty-hand applications to build reflexes, flow, and presence—combining physical skill with mental clarity and respect for the art’s deep warrior roots.
